How quaint it sounds now, although it was only a year ago when I wrote a New Year\u2019s greeting that celebrated upcoming workshops and our Orchestra Fantasy Camp project:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cOur 2020 vision: a musical year for all. We at AMN hope that you find even more joy in playing and singing in the new decade.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

We managed to host two in-person workshops before the world shut down. Looking back, they are such a treasure in my memory. Goodness knows when we will be back making music in a room together, certainly nowhere soon enough.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I know there\u2019s some light at the end of this long tunnel, but I can\u2019t quite make it out yet. So that’s why AMN will keep bringing light into the darkness of our separation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We are so grateful to see you in AMN online workshops. They bring our images and our spirits together to acknowledge one another and to keep our love of music alive. If \u201cWe\u2019re still here!\u201d is all it does, we\u2019ll keep doing it until there are better options once again.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

So I\u2019ll wish you, yet again, as musical a year as possible in 2021. May we be together in person by the time this new year is over.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
