A message from Music Director Ben Simon

Last year’s Side-by-Side was so much fun, I’m really looking forward to our second get-together on Sunday afternoon April 22 in Berkeley’s beautiful St. John’s Presbyterian Church.  Come at 3pm for our admission-free program of Michael Gilbertson (a world premiere),  a Stamitz viola concerto with the amazing Juan-Miguel Hernandez, and Haydn’s final symphony, No. 104 (“London”).

In our Side-by-Side, we’ll be playing a little Haydn too:  the delightful finale of his “Bird” string quartet (Op. 33 no. 3), the energetic Basse Danse from Warlock’s wonderful Capriol Suite, and Leroy Anderson’s pizzicato classic, Plink Plank Plunk, just for the fun of it!

See you all on April 22!
Ben
