A message from Music Director Ben Simon

I am so looking forward to our third annual string Side-by-Side with the San Francisco Chamber Orchestra.  Please come on Sunday April 28 to our 3pm concert at Berkeley’s beautiful First Congregational Church and stay to play some Elgar and Piazzolla onstage with us afterwards.  The young and exciting Catalyst String Quartet are our featured soloists in a program that ranges from Elgar to jazz.

The orchestra will be performing Elgar’s amazing Serenade for Strings, and we’ll be working on the first movement together in our Side-by-Side.  Once that is perfected and played through, we’ll have a little musical dessert with Jeremy Cohen’s arrangement of Astor Piazzolla’s Libertango.  Olé!

See you all on April 28!

Ben
